It's been a while since we updated our team blogs, but we have some new faces to introduce!
Who are you and what do you do at Lisa Dawson Interiors?
Hey, I’m Zara and I joined the team here at Lisa Dawson Interiors in February 2021 as Office Manager. My main role is to oversee all the accounts, however alongside this I find myself involved in a variety of projects ranging from cost analysis to assisting Lisa with the recent redesign of our studio, all of which I enjoy and keeps everyday interesting. Since joining the team I have accompanied Faye & Lisa to site visits to measure, fit and hang our furnishings and I also join Jane in the studio with client appointments so I can get to grips with all aspects of the business!
Where do you live and what is your style?
I currently live in Stalham but I am in the exciting (yet stressful) process of buying my first home with my partner. It’s been a long journey with a purchase falling through after 6 months and many, many house viewings but I hope to soon be settled into our new home.
Working in our beautiful studio is already giving me lots of inspiration, so much so I am looking forward to incorporating reclaimed scaffolding boards into my home like we have done in our studio. I am excited for the journey we have approaching, of redesigning each room in our new house and luckily, I have a great team around me to help and who will no doubt give me their opinion, even if I don’t ask for it! My style I would say is a modern / Scandinavian look – I enjoy uncluttered environments, neutral colours and natural lighting.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to be active - I’m a member of my local gym which I attend regularly whether that is to join a class or work out with a friend, I love walking especially at one of the local beaches (Sea Palling is probably one of my favourites!) and I also play football for my local ladies’ team.
From the help of Jane, our Showroom Manager I have found a new hobby in the form of journaling, I am really enjoying developing my skills in this and working on my creativity, plus I find it’s a lovely way to wind down at the end of the day. Also, as everyone here already knows I am a massive foodie, this no doubt stems from a background in hospitality so you will regularly find me dining out or trying new eateries in the local area! In the next few years I hope to restart my travels, I was lucky enough to spend 6 months in Asia & Australia where I visited many beautiful places, now I hope to make the most of the countries we have a little closer to home, and plan to see lots of Europe.
