ABOUT LISA DAWSON

Having qualified as a textile conservator, Lisa first came to Norfolk in 1996 from her native Australia to work for The National Trust’s Textile Conservation studio at Blickling Hall. After a very happy and informative 12 years Lisa felt a new challenge was in order and originally started Lisa Dawson Interiors with a view to creating reproduction soft furnishings for historic houses.

While the soft furnishing work quickly grew to include the design and creation of window dressings for private and commercial clients so too did the demand for interior decoration services. Lisa expanded both her portfolio of skills as well has her talented team of designers and makers and now undertakes a broad spectrum of projects from a single room paint consultation or window dressing to complete project management of whole house refurbishments.

Being Australian it is no surprise that when her diary allows Lisa can be found looking for waves along the unpredictable Norfolk coast or making a quick dash to her beloved North Cornwall to surf the rugged Atlantic coast.   Lisa draws much of her inspiration for decorative schemes from her time spent immersed in the natural world, absorbing the colours, textures and changing light.
