London Design Week & Fresh Projects

After a busy start to the year, we’ve just returned from London Design Week at Design Tech in our favourite corner of Chelsea Harbour. Beautifully curated and full of inspiration, this year’s event spanned 130 showrooms and 35 house guests, and the standard felt higher than ever with thoughtful showcases across the industry.

As always, we discovered new ranges and gathered plenty of ideas for upcoming projects. Back in the studio, the sample library is growing again, and we can’t wait to begin weaving these finds into client schemes over the months ahead.

Fresh Projects
Before heading down to the show, we were pleased to sign off a number of beautiful projects across the country, providing services across coastal, country and city homes.

Coastal: Norfolk Homes
Recent deliveries have been landing for a whole-house project by the coast, where hand-lined double-pleat curtains, piped pelmets and classic roman blinds are helping the house feel like a home. The palette is fresh and calming with coastal blues, botanical prints and natural tones. The scheme with fabrics from The Pure Edit and a crisp mix of whites and blues featuring Wild Geese (pictured) by Mulberry Home for that airy, salt-clean feel.

City: London Apartment For a chic city apartment, we specified discreet tracks (Silent Gliss 1080 in matt white) with elegant sheers to soften the architecture without blocking the light. The living room uses Motion in Desert by Kirkby Design; the bedroom pairs Villa Nova’s Laure in Jasmine with blackout lined in Romo’s Istra in Mineral.

Country: Cottage Living Room In a cosy cottage living room, warmth and timeless charm come together with our bespoke hand-gathered curtains with a ruffle stand-up, relaxed interlined roman blind and custom piped squab cushions. A sweet braid trim ties the furnishings together, while natural textures and soft hues make the space feel effortlessly settled. Details include Colefax & Fowler’s Hector for the face fabric, a contrast lining in Nile & York’s Plough Stripe, a Jim Lawrence pole, Colefax & Fowler’s Feather Braid trim, squab cushions in Colefax & Fowler’s Sebastian and piping in Samuel & Sons’ La Terre Cord.
