Mottisfont Abbey, Hampshire – authentic reproduction of curtains
Having decided to add a small sitting room to the visitor route, National Trust Mottisfont Abbey asked Lisa Dawson to design and produce window dressings that would be appropriate to the period and design of the room.
The team worked closely with the curator delivering a luxurious scheme that would suit royalty. The decision fell on muted tones of mink silk for the face fabric with a slightly darker shade for the swags. Now, beautifully interlined curtains with swag and tail top treatments, all hand-crafted, enrich this room.
